குலசேகராழ்வார் · మాసి, పునర్వసు
Kulasekhara Alwar was a Chera king whose love for Sri Rama was so deep that, hearing the Ramayana, he would rise to send his army to help Rama. His ministers once accused the devotees of theft, and he proved their innocence by putting his hand into a pot holding a snake.
He later gave up his throne to live at Srirangam. In his verses he prayed to be even a step at Thirumala, so the step before the sanctum there is called Kulasekharan Padi.
