Every Acharya Thirunakshatram of the Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam this year, for your city
The Ashramam's own calendar follows the Vakya panchangam. Vakyam means "a sentence": the positions of the Sun, the Moon and the stars are worked out from short Sanskrit verses handed down over many centuries, not from a modern ephemeris.
This page uses Drishya Ganita, also called Thirukanita: the positions are calculated with modern astronomy, so that they agree with the sky. The two methods can place the start and end of a nakshatra a few hours apart, and the Sankramana, the moment the Sun enters the next rashi and the Tamil month begins, can differ too.
So now and then a Thirunakshatram here may fall a day before or after the date in the Ashramam's calendar. In every such case, please follow the Ashramam's calendar.
ಶ್ರೀರಂಗಂ ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ ಆಂಡವನ್ ಆಶ್ರಮ ವಡಗಲೈ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಮಹಾನ್ ಶ್ರೀವೈಷ್ಣವ ಆಶ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು; ಮೂರು ಶತಮಾನಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಇದು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಾನುಜರ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವೇದಾಂತ ದೇಶಿಕರ ಉಪದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಡಿಪಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ಆಂಡವನ್ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಈ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಃ ಶ್ರೀ ರಂಗನಾಥನೇ ಮೊದಲ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದನೆಂದು ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ ನಂಬುತ್ತದೆ.
ಆಶ್ರಮವು ಮೂವರು ಮುನಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಥಮುನಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಯಾಮುನಮುನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಾನುಜರ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಾದ ಮುನಿತ್ರಯ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ತಿರುಕ್ಕುಡಂದೈ ದೇಶಿಕನ್ (ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲಾರ್ಯ ಮಹಾದೇಶಿಕನ್, ಜನನ 1700) ಈ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವನ್ನು ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಮುನಿತ್ರಯ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಕರ್ ಎಂದು ಗೌರವಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರಿಂದ ಈ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ ವಳುತ್ತೂರ್ ಆಂಡವನ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ಆರಂಭವಾಗುವ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಆಂಡವನ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಈಗಿನ ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೆಯ ಆಂಡವನ್ 2018ರಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ ಆಂಡವನ್ ಶ್ರೀವರಾಹ ಮಹಾದೇಶಿಕನ್.
ಆಶ್ರಮವು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರನ್ನು ಅವರ ತಿರುನಕ್ಷತ್ರದಂದು, ಅಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಜನಿಸಿದ ತಮಿಳು ಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮನಕ್ಷತ್ರದ ದಿನದಂದು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೇಲಿನ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಈ ವರ್ಷ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.
