The Sindhi New Year and the birth anniversary of Jhūlelāl, your city-r bābē
No date could be computed for this city/year.
Cetī Cand, also widely known as Jhūlelāl Jayantī, is the Sindhi New Year and the birth anniversary of Jhūlelāl (Uderolāl), the patron saint and Iṣṭa Devatā of the Sindhi Hindu community, revered as an incarnation of Varuṇa Deva. It falls in Caitra Śukla Pakṣa, close to the start of the lunar new year observed across much of India as Ugādi/Guḍī Pāḍvā.
The date follows the traditional principle of the new crescent moon's actual visibility: the Caitra Śukla Dvitīyā should be there, and the moon should be visible in the evening, Cetī Cand falls on that day, otherwise on Dvitīyā.
Regional and family observance can vary. Please confirm with your own community's convention where it differs from what is shown here.
