About
Makaravilakku is the sacred light (Makarajyoti) that appears at the Sabarimala temple in Kerala on Makar Sankranti day. Millions of Lord Ayyappa devotees gather at Sabarimala during the Mandalam-Makaravilakku season to witness this divine phenomenon and seek the blessing of Lord Ayyappa.
