Mangala Gowri Vratam is observed on every Tuesday of Shravana masa (both Shukla and Krishna paksha), dedicated to Goddess Mangala Gowri (a form of Parvati). It is observed especially by newly-married women, praying for the wellbeing and long life of the husband and a happy married life, and is popular in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, North India, and among certain communities in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Since Shravana masa has 4-5 Tuesdays depending on the year, the vratam is observed on every one of them.
