Jalaram Jayanti 2025

Jalaram Jayanti is observed on Kartika Shukla Saptami, a week after Diwali. It marks the birth anniversary of Sant Jalaram Bapa (1799-1881) of Virpur in Saurashtra, a devotee of Shri Rama remembered for his service to the hungry.

Jalaram Bapa ran a sadavrat, a kitchen that fed everyone who came, and the tradition continues at Virpur today. On Jalaram Jayanti devotees gather for bhajans, prayers and community meals.
