A master of swordsmanship of Eyinanur in the Chola country who spent his earnings on Shiva's devotees. A jealous rival, Athisuran, challenged him to single combat and, losing, came back with his forehead smeared with holy ash.

Seeing the ash, Enathinatha would not strike a devotee and let himself be killed. Shiva appeared and took him to His feet.
