A Panar musician of Thiruverukkathampuliyur who sang Shiva's praise on the yazh with his wife Mathanga Soolamani. At Madurai Shiva gave him a golden plank to set his yazh on, and at Tiruvarur a new gate was opened for him.
He joined Thirugnana Sambandar, played his hymns on the yazh wherever they went, and entered the divine light with him at Nallur Perumanam.
