उपाकर्म 2094: Madurai, Tamil Nadu

Upakarma is the annual renewal of the sacred thread (yajnopavita) and the resumption of Vedic study. Each Veda observes it on its own day: Rigveda Upakarma, Yajur Upakarma (Shravani Upakarma, Aavani Avittam) and Samaveda Upakarma.

The dates above are for your city and year, for those repeating the observance and for those performing it for the first time. Each Veda's full page has the complete table.

Where the views of different sampradayas differ, please follow the convention observed by your own family or sampradaya.
